Shipping FAQs

How is shipping calculated?

Domestic shipping starts at $3.50 up to the first 10oz / 0.5 lb. We also offer Priority Flat Rate shipping for $8.00. International shipping starts at $12. Because of Shopify's awesome backend, it can automatically compute shipping by weight. All US orders over $75 ship for free and via USPS.

How long will it take for my order to ship?

All orders are personally packed and fulfilled by me, Christine, out of Everyday Explorers HQ in Berkeley, California. I usually get to packing your orders within 2 days of when you check out, but on busier times (like launch week or holidays), it might take longer.

I make sure to communicate any possible delays (missing items on backorder, delays from manufacturers, etc) but feel free to get in touch if you have an urgent in-hands date for your goodies and I’ll see what I can do!

Do you ship internationally?

We ship to all countries at the moment, except India and the Philippines. Customers are responsible for all customs and duty fees.

If you’re ordering from the Philippines, please see our local shop at www.everydayexplorers.ph.

We do not ship to these two countries because of several experiences of having to replace or refund packages never arriving, which, as you can imagine, can get expensive for a small business like ours. If you’d like to arrange for prepaid shipping or want to pay extra for a different courier, please get in touch! We’re happy to get a quote for you.

Do you ship to the UK?

Yes we do! Because of recent Brexit VAT laws, we’re requiring a minimum order of $185 for all orders to ship in the UK. This is to avoid having to file VAT in the UK while also still making our products available — it was quite the workaround! We suggest pooling orders together with local craft buddies or waiting to make bigger orders (you’ll save on shipping, too!)

Where is my order?

If you live in the US, it should take within 3-5 businesses days to get to you. If your order says it’s been delivered but is not there, please allow 2-3 days before contacting us — sometimes the post office makes a mistake in scanning orders. We do not have additional access to information on tracking — we check the USPS website just like you do :)

International orders take at least 3-4 weeks. Please wait until after 45 days (and if you have a hopeless tracking number) before writing in to say that your order is lost though — international shipping can be tricky and often harder to track. We’ve had packages delivered that have tracking numbers that never left San Francisco (sigh.)
